Meet Dr. Burruss
Hello! I'm Dr. Nina (Cami) Burruss, MD. I am a licensed and double board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist in Maryland. I became a psychiatrist because I am passionate about partnering with patients and their families to ensure that they are living a life in which they thrive. My practice is evidence-based and person-centered. I value collaborating with families to ensure that our treatment plans are in alignment with their values. I value diversity and welcome patients of any race, gender, sexual orientation, spiritual practice, or cultural background.
A Bit More About Me...
Prior to opening Arbor Psychiatry, I trained at Johns Hopkins/Kennedy Krieger Institute and worked at The Chesapeake Center for ADHD, Learning, and Behavioral Health. In addition to my clinical work, I serve as a part-time Assistant Professor at the Johns Hopkins Hospital where I am involved in research on the impact of arts-based interventions on mental health.
Outside of clinic, I enjoy spending time in nature hiking & foraging, hanging out with my family, and being creative. I am a lifelong visual artist and my work is strongly influenced by Pahari miniature painting, which I studied extensively before medical school.
